neighborly support
In the center of Warsaw by Saski Park and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, there stands a poster with the image of the former Belarussian presidential candidate. The poster says, "Mikałaj Statkiewicz, candidate for the president of Belarus, has been on trial since May 11, 2011. He can be sentenced up to 8 years in prison because he opposed Łukasenko in the 2010 elections."
Showing more support: a Belarussian crest made out of flowers in front of the Zacheta Museum

Łazienki Chopin Concert , June 26th
Senior citizens dressed in their Sunday finest accessorized with umbrellas, the citizens of Warsaw plus crowds of expats came out to see/hear another Chopin concert at the Łazienki Royal Gardens(they are free and 2 times on Sundays, 12 & 4 pm).
blueberry pastries at Braci Gessler
If you are in Krakowskie Przedmiescie ( in front of the Presidential palace), stop by the window at Braci Gessler for some seasonal wild blueberry pastries (5 zł each). Down the street at Blikle ( on Nowy Swiat street by Chmielna and Foksal), they sell them for 4 zł.
