Łazienki Chopin Concert , June 26th

Senior citizens dressed in their Sunday finest accessorized with umbrellas, the citizens of Warsaw plus crowds of expats came out to see/hear another Chopin concert at the Łazienki Royal Gardens(they are free and 2 times on Sundays, 12 & 4 pm).

Swięto Muzyki

 

Yesterday evening, music filled the streets of Warsaw as part of the Swięto Muzyki festival. All over different parts of the city, stages were set up and musicians preformed for free. I saw Karolina Cicha perform old Varsovian classics and war songs with her band at Skwer on Krakowskie Przedmescie. To say the least, it was fantastic!

Bejart Ballet at Teatr Narodowy

The renowned Bejart Ballet from Lausanne came to Warsaw for two performances. They came as participants in the Łodz International Ballet Festival (it runs April to June and most performances are in Łodz).  In spite of the rainy and cold weather outside, inside the theater, the performance, to say the least, was exhilarating.
